The Chinese keep surprising us, some days ago we posted an article on the entire Austrian village that is being copied in China, which is off course pretty crazy, but the following might be even crazier, a hotel in the shape of a Ping Pong Bat!It looks pretty cool, but according to Jin Chang, director of Huainan Municipal Bureau, an upside down Ping Pong bat also has a perfect architectural shape for a hotel (not sure about that ). The top will be a viewing platform, in the middle there will be rooms and the bottom half of the ping-pong bat will be used for conferences.
This 150 meter tall hotel will be built in Huainan city, and is part of a future Olympics park. It isn’t the only building in the shape of a sport attribute. Other future buildings in this area should include an athletics stadium in the shape of an American football, a volleyball shaped aqua complex, a soccer ball shaped gymnastics stadium and a basketball shaped soccer stadium.
