Heart Evangelista is a Filipina actress. Her real name is Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco. She was born on February 14, 1985. She was raised in Foster City, California by her parents Reynaldo Ongpauco and Cecilia Payawal who owned restaurants.
Heart's grandparents owned the Barrio Fiesta Restaurant which started in 1958 which now have grown into an international chain. She attended elementary school at Audubon Elementary School in California, but by the age of ten her family moved back to the Philippines.
Heart Evangelista started her career when she was discovered by an entertainment agent at a mall with her sister. Not only did she became an actress but also as a singer, host, model and VJ.
Heart Evangelista became the covergirl of Women's Health Magazine Philippines for its May 2009 issue. She also graced the covers of Cosmopolitan Philippines, Preview, Zen Health ,and Sense and Style.
